How does YourHouseFix work?
You post the job free: the trade you need, your postcode and a line on what needs doing. It goes to one verified local tradesperson first, and never to more than three. They reply to you directly, you pick the one you want, and you agree the price and time with them.
Is it free for homeowners?
Yes. Posting a job, hearing back and choosing a tradesperson costs nothing, and no payment is taken on this site. You pay the tradesperson directly for the work.
How fast will someone reply?
A job gets a first response within 2 hours in working hours, or we escalate it to the next tradesperson ourselves and tell you. Every listing shows its typical response time.
Are the tradespeople checked?
A verified badge means we checked a register for that trade, such as Gas Safe or an electrical competent person scheme, and hold their insurance on file with an expiry date. A listing that has not been verified says so plainly.
Will my phone number be shared with everyone?
No. Your details go only to the tradesperson who is looking at your job, never to a list of firms, and never to anyone for marketing.
