2. Paste it into your website footer

The footer is best, so it shows on every page. Pick your website builder for the exact steps.

Email these instructions to my web person
WordPress
  1. Sign in to your WordPress dashboard (usually yourwebsite.co.uk/wp-admin).
  2. Go to Appearance, then Widgets (or Appearance, then Editor, then Footer, on newer themes).
  3. Add a "Custom HTML" block to the footer.
  4. Paste the badge code in and press Save or Update.
  5. Open your website and check the badge shows at the bottom of the page.
Wix
  1. Open your site in the Wix Editor.
  2. Scroll to the footer, click Add (+), then Embed Code, then Embed HTML.
  3. Choose "Code", paste the badge code in and press Update.
  4. Drag the box to where you want it, then press Publish.
Squarespace
  1. Open your site and press Edit.
  2. Click into the footer, press Add Block, then choose Code.
  3. Paste the badge code in, make sure the mode is HTML, and close the block.
  4. Press Save.
GoDaddy Website Builder
  1. Open your site in the editor.
  2. In the footer, press Add Section, then choose HTML.
  3. Paste the badge code into the Custom Code box and press Done.
  4. Press Publish.
Shopify
  1. Go to Online Store, then Themes, then Customise.
  2. In the footer, press Add block, then Custom Liquid (or Custom HTML).
  3. Paste the badge code in and press Save.
Someone else built my website
  1. Press "Email these instructions to my web person" above.
  2. It opens an email with the code and these steps already written. Add their email address and send.
  3. Most web designers can add it in under five minutes.
